MYOFASCIAL MERIDIANS (Anatomy Trains) - MYOFASCIA TAPING
For physiotherapy, osteopathysport physiotherapy, sport medicine and sport therapy

1 day course - 11 CPD points

Costs: £159
Course fee includes tape material, drinks, biscuits, coloured high quality course manual and certificate.

The revolutionary therapy and taping concept
Myofascial Taping is uniquely combined with the revolutionary Anatomy Trains concept with many different fascia techniques to regulate fascia and muscle tension.
It brings immediate results and long lasting benefits!
This course provides a new dimension of therapeutical treatment and a more three-dimensional feel for musculo-skeletal anatomy and a view of whole-body patterns distributing compensation, stability, mobility and dynamic in daily and performance functioning.

Itinerary
In this course we focus on this fibrous network called fascia and the related muscle and ligaments, using techniques that connect into it and help stretch and release it. These restrictions in the connective tissue often cause repetitive injuries.
The Myofascial Kinesiology Taping Concept treats these myofascial connections and help strengthen the tissue thereby both improving performance and reducing the risk of injury.

Theory
Fascia: Structure & function
Theory of the anatomy trains (myofascial meridians)
Tensegrity Model
Myofascial meridians in depth
Treatment conception of fascias
Integrative Therapy concepts:
- Manual techniques
- Kinesiology Taping
- Training

Praxis

85% Kinesiology Taping / 15% manual fascia techniques:

• 4 Levels of Myofascial Taping fascia techniques
• Osteopathic Myofascial Taping fascia techniques
• Assessment of global body statics and posture
• Assessment of motion in respect of myofascial meridians
• Diagnosis of imbalanced anatomy trains
• Tape applications and concepts for anatomy trains
• Manual treatment technicques for fascia
• Analysis of clinical picturse in context of myofascial meridians
• Tape applications for complex dysfunctions / slings
• Tape applications and concepts for:
- Superficial Back Line
- Superficial Front Line
- Lateral Lines
- The Spiral Line
- Arm Lines
- Functional Lines
- Deep Front Line

For the best results and immediate objective markers our courses include many clinical and practical tests and re-tests to demonstrate the immediate effects of the tape applications.

The applications come not in a set pattern. Due to the specific dysfunctions of the patient along the anatomy trains the screening and the applications become as individual as possible to get optimum results.
Finally, the fascia techniques according to our osteopathy concept and anatomy trains concept make the difference.

Learn how to prevent injury, eliminate pain and enhance your therapy & sporting performance in an effective and efficient way...the myofascial way.

Myofascial Meridians
Fascia and the integration of fascia into treatment and therapy concepts get more and more attention.

'Myofascia' connotes the bundled together, inseparable nature of muscle tissue (myo-) and its accompanying web of connective tissue (fascia).
Whatever else muscels do individually, they also influence functionally integrated body-wide continuities within the fascial webbing. These lines follow the warp of the body’s connective tissue fabric, forming traceable 'meridians' of myofascia.
Postural compensation, strain, tension, fixation and resilience are all distributed along these lines giving it a systemic point of view.

The word 'meridian' is usually used to describe energetic lines of transmission in the domain of acupuncture. The myofascial meridian lines are not acupuncture meridians, but lines of pull, based on standard Western anatomy. These lines transmit strain and movement through the body’s myofascia around the skeleton.

Myofascial Kinesiology Taping Concept
A major progress in therapy is to think further than an isolated muscle concept to see systemic effects.
The Anatomy Trains concept will lead to a more three-dimensional feel for musculo-skeletal anatomy and a view of whole-body patterns distributing compensation in daily and performance functioning.

Myofascial Balance
A good example is the Superficial Back Line including the epicranial fascia, semispinalis, iliocostalis, sacral fascia, sacrotuberous ligament, hamstrings, gastroc and plantar fascia that forms a head-to-toe continuity.
Painful problems in one area of the Line can be linked to a totally 'silent' area at some remove from the area.
The myofascial taping concept is focusing the communicating aspect of the myofasciae across extended lines and broad planes within the body and special fascia technique applications can fix these problems by balancing the tension of the myofascial meridian, thus treating the source of the problems.

The taping concept can be used to comprehend the larger pattern of your client’s sructural relationships for resolving that pattern.

Next to new taping techniques new therapy strategies will be learned.

Systemic treatment concept
The treatment concept includes manual fascia techniques, myofascial trigger points, myofascial training therapy and Myofascial Kinesiology Taping.
The advantage of the taping is that the fascia techniques effect the muscle and fascia tension during any motion and sport. Some consecutive applications bring a long lasting balanced myofascial tension.

Learn how to prevent injury, eliminate pain, facilitate motion, increase range and power, treat swelling and dysfunctions and enhance your therapy & sporting performance in an effective and efficient way...the myofascial way. It brings immediate results and long lasting benefits!
